Phil Ivey Hosts Festive Meet-Up Game at Wynn Las Vegas This December
Poker legend Phil Ivey will step into the Wynn Las Vegas poker room on Dec. 17 for a special Christmas-themed Meet-Up Game (MUG). No, the Poker Hall of Famer isn’t chasing low-stakes action to rebuild his bankroll. Instead, this holiday treat is part of a larger celebration hosted by WPT Global and the World Poker Tour (WPT) crew. The fun begins at 9 a.m.
A Star-Studded Lineup
Joining Ivey will be a host of poker celebrities, including Jamie Kerstetter, Matt Savage, Tony Dunst, and Jesse Sylvia. Content creators such as Jaman Burton, Frankie C, and Mariano Grandoli will also take part, promising a vibrant mix of personalities.
Ivey, fresh off claiming his 11th World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, is widely regarded as the greatest poker player of all time. For fans, this event is a rare opportunity to rub shoulders with the G.O.A.T. at the tables in $1-$2 and $2-$5 no-limit hold’em games.
How to Join the Action
The Meet-Up Game is open to all poker enthusiasts on a first-come, first-served basis. With limited seating, players are advised to arrive early to secure their spot in this unique poker experience. These events typically draw a large crowd, so preparation is key.
A Full Day of Poker Excitement
This festive gathering coincides with Day 2 of the $10,400 WPT World Championship at Wynn, a pivotal moment as the tournament bubble is likely to burst. Alongside Ivey and friends, attendees will encounter other WPT Global ambassadors, including Brad Owen and Ethan “Rampage” Yau, who recently lit up the Hustler Casino Live stage.
The WPT World Championship festival, which kicked off on Dec. 3, is in full swing. Major events like the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship have already seen intense competition, with a $5 million guarantee adding extra stakes to the holiday spirit.
Whether you’re a poker fan eager to test your skills against legends or simply seeking holiday cheer, the Wynn Las Vegas Christmas Meet-Up Game is an event you won’t want to miss. Mark your calendars for Dec. 17 and prepare for a day of poker magic.
